Secrecy about UFOs and Extraterrestrials shows the true colours of an aspiring U.S. Global Empire
by Richard M. Dolan [Excerpted]
The UFO problem is a real one. It
has involved military personnel around the world for more than fifty
years, and is wrapped in secrecy. Over the years, however, enough
pieces of the puzzle have emerged to give us a sense of what the
picture looks like. What I have tried to do is very simple: to use as
many of those pieces as possible in constructing a clear,
straightforward, historical narrative of the UFO problem, focusing on
the national security dimensions.
Because the subject of UFOs has become little more than a cultural
joke, it is important to stress at the outset why it is not a joke, not
entertainment, but something worthy of serious attention.
Although stories of strange objects in the sky go far back in time, the
problem received little attention until World War II. At that time,
military personnel from Allied and Axis countries reported
unconventional objects in the sky, eventually known as foo fighters.
In retrospect, this development is not so surprising. First, human
aviation had become widespread for the first time. Above the clouds,
thousands of pilots suddenly had the kind of visibility that no one
ever had before. A second reason was the invention of radar, which
extended the range of human vision by electronic means. Moreover, it
seemed reasonable to assume that the odd sightings were related to the
war itself, perhaps experimental technology.

Landlord: Ghosts Playing Gospel Got to Go

The Ledger
FORT MEADE – Randy Wolpin, 30, is fascinated with old houses. In fact, his fascination led him from Fort Lauderdale to Fort Meade, where he decided to buy the former house of the Rev. William James Reid at 401 E. Broadway. But little did Wolpin know that the former tenants of the house, though deceased, may have never left the property. The Reid House was built in the early 1900s. Reid, a minister for the North Alabama Conference Methodist Church South, passed the house to his son, Claude “Cauntess” Reid, who lived there until his death in 1976. The last Reid who owned the house was the Rev. Reid’s daughter, Carrie B. Reid, who sold it in 1985. The three-story house still contains the original plaster, doors and door handles, transoms, wave glass, cedar frame and heart pine floors. In the attic are remains of the books that belonged to the Reid family dating as far as 1919. This is the type of house Wolpin wanted. Wolpin runs a Smoothie King in Fort Lauderdale and wanted a vacation home for himself. He had been looking at the house for two years before finally buying the Reid House in January. But after footsteps were heard in the vacant rooms upstairs, radios mysteriously changed to a gospel station on Good Friday and cup holders were knocked down, Wolpin decided to find information about the paranormal. While he was online doing research, he stumbled across the Peace River Ghost Track team. He contacted the group through e-mail. The Peace River Ghost Track team consists of five members, each of whom claims to have had personal paranormal encounters. The group pays for its own equipment and travel to help residents understand and deal with their situations. So June 16, Scott Walker, Ellen “Sprout” Dvorak, Lori Chapman, Toni Ray and Tom Land met with Wolpin and his mother to investigate their supernatural occurrences. “This house freaks me out,” said Roz Wolpin, Randy’s mother. She said her son’s dream was to own a big, historic house such as the Reid House because “he likes old things.” Though she said the house is beautiful, her opinions about it quickly changed a couple of weeks ago. One day, she said she was preparing to take a shower in the bathroom next to the kitchen whenshe heard a loud crash in the kitchen. When she came out of the bathroom she saw a coffee can that had been on a shelf lying on the kitchen floor with the grounds scattered all over. “I freaked … to hell with the shower,” she said. “Oh my God, this place is really haunted.” The last straw for Randy Wolpin came when he was painting inside the house Good Friday and his radio mysteriously changed to a gospel station. “This is an issue,” said Wolpin, who said he’s not really scared but he does think something weird is happening. At 6 p.m. June 16, the trackers arrived at the house, surveying the area and speaking to the Wolpins about their encounters. The group gathered for the night also included friends of Wolpin along with Michale Graves, a former member of the punk band the Misfits. Graves has a show named RadioDeadly.com that focuses on ghosts, and he decided to fly down from New Jersey to check out the house. But the night before the ghost hunt, Graves and his friends experienced their own encounter. At 1:30 a.m., Graves said he woke out of his sleep screaming. Graves, along with his wife and friends, were all sleeping on mattresses on the floor of the same room. He said it felt like something came into the room and spun him around. As he screamed, his wife and his friends followed. “He’s never been scared before and we were all really scared,” said Renee Graves. “Everybody asks everybody else what happened and nobody can tell each other what happened.” The ghost hunters came with infrared cameras, and devices to get temperature and electromagnetic field readings. “The theory is (that the ghosts) disrupt the magnetic energy field where they are trying to manifest,” Walker said. And the areas where ghosts try to manifest become cold because they are using the energy, Ray said. She said this results in the production of orbs, which are concentrated balls of energy. But Walker said their plan of action is to disprove the ghosts’ existence first. “We have to be skeptical,” Walker said. “We have to disprove everything before we go with the paranormal side.” The group placed one camera at the top of the stairs. The second camera was placed in the kitchen where Roz Wolpin had her encounter. The third was placed in the living room, while the last camera was placed in Graves’ room, which was labeled, “The Scream Room.”

Menlo Park Sasquatch hunter Tom Biscardi has made a legend into an industry
By Stett Holbrook
THERE ARE approximately 3,500 of them living in the remote forests and swamplands of the United States. They’ve been here for millennia and yet scrupulously avoid contact with humankind. They migrate in search of food and habitat, and communicate with each other by knocking on trees and unleashing haunting, baleful cries. They are huge, powerful and intelligent, and as long as they’re left alone, probably don’t wish us any harm. They, of course, are Bigfoot. At least that’s what Menlo Park–based Bigfoot hunter Tom Biscardi says. Biscardi, an intense, fast–talking, profanity–spewing Brooklyn–raised man with swooped backed hair and a trim goatee, has been chasing Bigfoot for 34 years. And he says he’s closing in the elusive primate.

‘Mile-wide UFO’ spotted by British airline pilot22.06.07
One of the largest UFOs ever seen has been observed by the crew and passengers of an airliner over the Channel Islands. An official air-miss report on the incident several weeks ago appears in Pilot magazine. Aurigny Airlines captain Ray Bowyer, 50, flying close to Alderney first spotted the object, described as “a cigar-shaped brilliant white light”. Aurigny Airlines captain Ray Bowyer, 50, described what he thought to be a UFO as ‘a cigar-shaped brilliant white light’, similar to the image supplied by Dennis Plunket of the British Flying Saucer bureau As the plane got closer the captain viewed it through binoculars and said: “It was a very sharp, thin yellow object with a green area. “It was 2,000ft up and stationary. I thought it was about 10 miles away, although I later realised it was approximately 40 miles from us. At first, I thought it was the size of a [Boeing] 737. “But it must have been much bigger because of how far away it was. It could have been as much as a mile wide.” Continuing his approach to Guernsey, Bowyer then spied a “second identical object further to the west”. He said: “It was exactly the same but looked smaller because it was further away. It was closer to Guernsey. I can’t explain it. This was clearly visual for about nine minutes. “I’m certainly not saying that it was something of another world. All I’m saying is that I have never seen anything like it before in all my years of flying.” The sightings were confirmed by passengers Kate and John Russell. John, 74, said: “I saw an orange light. It was like an elongated oval.” The sightings were also confirmed by an unnamed pilot with the Blue Islands airline. The Civil Aviation Authority safety notice states that a Tri-Lander aircraft flying close to Alderney spotted the object. “Certain parts of the report have not been published. I cannot say why,” said a senior CAA source. Earlier this year, however, the MOD declared its intentions to open its UFO files to the public.

Jellyfish-shaped ‘UFO’ spotted in
By Lydia Chen 2007-6-21
SEVERAL people reported seeing a jellyfish-shaped unidentified flying object about 8pm in Shanghai on Monday. A man surnamed Zhu told Shanghai Morning Post yesterday that he saw the UFO in the sky at the crossroads of Jiujiang Road and Xizang Road M. in Huangpu District that night. “It’s definitely not a kite,” Zhu told the newspaper. “It was flying quite high.” Zhu said the UFO was a blue-colored object and hovered around the area for several minutes and then flew away. He tried to take a picture of the UFO with his cell phone, but since it was far away the photo only revealed a blurry image of a shiny object. Zhu said the UFO was spotted by more than 100 people in the area, but so far, no clear picture of it has been released. Experts at Sheshan Observatory have not yet responded to the report. An unidentified flying object was seen above the boundary between Hongkou and Yangpu districts about 9pm on April 11. Though many witnesses were convinced it was a UFO – the color of the V-shaped object changed regularly from red to blue to green and then yellow – an expert said it was just a night-light kite. UFOs appeared over Shanghai and its neighboring area in 1987, 1990, 1991 and 1999. They were acknowledged as UFOs as no physics theory could explain their movement in the air, according to previous reports.

Home of alien abduction, plans 60th UFO fest The Associated Press ROSWELL, N.M. — Is “The Truth” located in this remote city in New Mexico? Driving alone down a stretch of desolate highway en route to Roswell, I begin to understand why conspiracy buffs have long argued that aliens crash-landed in the desert here a half-century ago. Darkness engulfs desert fields. A misshapen yellow moon hangs in the sky. Husks of abandoned buildings litter the roadside. Has an alien invasion already taken place? I notice a blinking light in the sky — but quickly discern it’s an airplane. Being out here by yourself is enough to make you think twice. “I do know this. There are other things out there in the universe,” said John Turner, 78, who was working the desk of the International UFO Museum and Research Center on Roswell’s North Main Street when I visited. I have secretly wanted to visit Roswell since I was a boy. What I got during my brief visit — something I’ve contemplated doing for years — was a lesson in how a small city in the middle of the American southwest became enshrined in American pop culture.

Ghost hunter Michelle Hajdu is packing for the big one — the biggest investigation of her career. Hajdu and her team of paranormal investigators have booked an overnight stay in the ‘scariest place on earth,’ the Waverly Hills Tuberculosis Sanitarium, a place where 63,000 people died during the white plague from 1926 to 1961. Some of those people, rumors claim, refuse to leave the grounds and haunt the abandoned hallways creating cold drafts, the sound of footsteps, and even smacking curiosity seekers on the head.
